Uttar Pradesh has aimed to attract Rs. 40,000 crores of investment in electric mobility and create employment for 50,000 people. To move ahead with this, the state has introduced financial incentives for agencies in EV and battery manufacturing sector.

Battery Solutions

Promoting small scale and large-scale projects in battery manufacturing and research in innovative battery solutions.

Large-scale Investments

Financial support and easy clearances by single-window & single-sanction to agencies setting up manufacturing plants in electric vehicles in Uttar Pradesh.

Incentives for manufacturing of electric vehicles and their components

  • Reimbursement of 25% cost of land purchase (lesser of prevalent circle price or purchase price) in Mega Anchor project and Ultra mega battery plant
  • Provide capital interest subsidy, infrastructure interest subsidy etc. to Large, Anchor EVMUs/EBUs and MSME units like industrial units under UP IIEPP 2017
  • Provide capital interest subsidy, infrastructure interest subsidy etc. to Large, Anchor EVMUs/EBUs and MSME units like industrial units under UP IIEPP 2017
  • Provide capital interest subsidy, infrastructure interest subsidy etc. to Large, Anchor EVMUs/EBUs and MSME units like industrial units under UP IIEPP 2017
  • Provide incentives for private EV parks & clusters development

Incentives for charging infrastructure

  • Reimbursement of 50% or up to 1 lakh per year on loan for procuring equipment/machinery for battery recycling for 5 years
  • Reimbursement of 50% of the annual interest on loan/up to 1 crore per unit to setup the waste treatment plant for five years
  • Subsidy of 25% or up to INR 6 lakh per station on fixed capital investment to first thousand charging stations
  • Reimbursement of 50% or up to INR 50 lakh per unit to set up hydrogen generation and fueling plantss
