The Government of Uttar Pradesh announced the Uttar Pradesh Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2022, with an objective to transition the state’s transportation sector towards electric mobility and make the state a manufacturing hub for electric vehicles and ancillary equipment. The policy aims to achieve the overarching objective of improving UP’s quality of the environment by reducing air pollution. In order to achieve this objective, the policy encourages start-ups and investments in the field of electric mobility and associated support sectors.
